Browser Back Button & Save Conflicts

 Hello,

I have an application, where a  user click an "Edit" button to open the document in Edit mode, makes some edits, saves the information by clicking the "Save" button. The Save button is designed to Save the document and open the previous page. This functionality works fine, until the user hits the browser's back button after saving the document. Upon clicking the browser back button, the document goes back to Edit Mode (with out any new edits made by the user) and allows changes to the document. So when the user saves the document again, a Conflict document is created.

Is there a way to open the document in last saved state when the Browser Back button is clicked. Or is there a way to disable the back button?

Thanks,
Venkatesh

Re: Browser Back Button & Save Conflicts
I'm not sure the best answer to this one.

I don't think you can disable the back button.  You might be able to clear the back button history with CSJS.  Not sure.

What I'd try first might be when the user clicks save - redirect them to a new page with maybe a message that their doc has been saved....  not sure .

Maybe another thing you can do on save is redirect to the current page... maybe that would solve the back button issue...
