Loading stylesheet, and recognizing style sheet changes

I'm wondering if the 8.5.2 client, or designer, is buggy in loading stylesheets.
 
Style sheet coming from within resources area of notes database. Auto build turned on in designer for xPages.
 
Load initial style sheet by attaching to xPage, preview in Notes client, fine.
 
Make some tweeks to stylesheet, Save. Re-preview in Notes client. No change.
 
Close Notes client preview window. Pretend to change something on xPage in question. Save. Re-preview. No change.
 
Close Notes client preview window.Clean in designer. No change.
 
Exit Notes completely, ooga-booga dance around desk. Restart, re-preview. No change.
 
Close Notes client preview window. Detach style sheet COMPLETELY from xPage. Save. Re-preview in Notes client. LOL -- no change, it's still showing the (unchanged) styles from the first iteration of that style sheet lol.
 
I'm guessing there's like death-grip caching going on; how to clear?

Okay well something I did since posting this seems to have fixed it. No idea what.
 
But is there any sure fire way to do it right away?

I found that if there was a bug in the xpage the notes client would just display the previous version which was cached.  I have taken to developing on the web then periodically checking on the Notes client.
 
It was frustrating to find this out!  Especially since the design client kept duplicating code now and again for no reason.
