Currently in Lotus Notes Client views if user types in some text, this text is searched in the view in the sorted column. This provides a easy way to user who can just sort the column which needs to be searched and type the text.

I would like to provide such a search in my XPage view. My database is not indexed. Has anyone tried this?

In the view properties, you should be able to use the option "Filter by column value".
