You need to drag the install icon into your Lotus Notes widget sidebar
after install and restart you get three new icons in the toolbar to import and export controls.

Yeah, as it turns out I wasn't thinking about it as any other plugin, but that's all it is.  Unzip it an use the resulting directory as a local update site for a normal application install.
