Hi !

I need to be able to refresh an xpage (the whole page or just partial) when a lotus notes document is created/modified/read etc..
The xpage solution we´re developing will be a dashboard for viewing lotus notes data (CRM info).
There will be buttons/links etc to e.g create a new project or contact, but this link will open the corresponding New form in an existing standard lotus notes application.
So, e.g when the new project is saved, I would like for the dashboard xpage application to pick this up, and refresh accordingly.

So is the a way to interact/communicate between lotus notes form/document events (lotusscript/java) and xpages ?
I have thought of JMS or maybe a solution involving reading and writing to the notes.ini.

Has anyone else had the need for this, and if so, how did you accomplish this ?

Any information / tips / solution would be greatly appreciated :-)
Thanks !

regards,
Petter Kjeilen

have you tried refreshing your dashboard, see if it gets the latest docs? if yes, then you can create a timer in xpages that refreshes say every 5 minutes

Hi ! Refreshing the xpage/dashboard (full or partial) is not a problem. I can do this on an xpage event or e.g a button/link click or using a timer function. This has been tested and works.
The question was if it is somehow possible to initiate this refresh when e.g a notes document (opened in a tab in the notes klient) is saved, closed etc.
The xpage/dashboard is also opened in a tab the notes client.
