Import Excel Files into XPages

In Notes Client, the user is able to import an Excel file by saving it as a Lotus 1-2-3 file and using the Import option on the File menu. With XPages, the File menu is not available for the user to click for an import. Can anyone tell me a way for the user to import an Excel file into XPages?

Requires a Programatic approach

In order to accomplish this same thing in XPages will require a programatic approach and be spreadsheet specific.

Look at the following OpenNTF project and also the native apache poi site for suggestions and examples.

Import Excel from Client

Not sure if it helps you but I import from Excel via Notes client. I used the Junction app - $5 from Chris Toohey of dominoguru.com. Works great!
