Using XPage Discussion Library Default Theme in Own Custommized Application

Dear All,

I want to use discussion template 8.5.2 theme & design features in my own customized application at a large scale. Although its very difficult to add own links, xpages, forms etc but can be managed with little R&D. I want your opinion that what are the possible risks or issues can come in future? Either its recommended for own different business process application?

I want to put infront of Gurus for their expert advice so that I may design my application accordingly. Or any other place where I can get good design and style sheets.

Are you talking about...

copying the templates or just using the existing design that gets updated when notes/domino gets updated.

If it is the first, you should be fine as the update of the code is separated from your implementation. I would NOT suggest the later as IBM my choose to update the discussion design which could break your implementation.

If you are looking for ready made themes I would recommend using the built oneUI themes as a base and create your own.

Using OneUI theme in the Designer 8.5.2

Thanks for your response. Please let me know one UI theme is available for IBM Lotus Notes and Domino 8.5.2 or not? If yes than from where I get this theme and install and configure / integrate in my development environment. Currently my Server is 8.5.3 FP6 and Designer version is 8.5.2. Your help in this regard will be highly appreciated.
