Single Category Embedded View/ Category Filter

I am trying to simply recreate a single category view on a custom control and cannot find an answer on how to successfully achieve this. I have tried looking through various forums but nothing so far. Could someone please point me in the right direction.

I'm sure I've done video demos on this over at NotesIn9. Though quite honestly I don't know exactly WHICH show(2) it might be in. I suspect it might be in my XPages Jumpstart. It's problem mentioned in some of my earlier shows... And I think the technique is in show 18- Data Relationships.

With the help of the previous post I have managed to get one single category view to work, I have another that doesn't and only displays the one main document. Any I deas where I should look to troubleshoot this?
