I would like to make an Xpage application in which a user can add an excisting email (for example into a rtf)
What I tried so far :

1) I dragged an email from my notes mailbox into the rtf field.

Problem : I can open the mail from the rtf field , but another user can't

2) drag an email out of lotus notes to my desktop (whick makes an eml file) and put that through a "file upload control" into the rtf

Can't I put this this eml file into the rtf with a normal rtf control ?(so the user can add some comments etc to the email)

Problem: Not user friendly .  (the user has to create seperate files for each email he want's to add to the rtf)

If you are dragging over the email my guess is its creating a link to a document and respecting the security of your mail file. Nothing you can do about that.

I don't think you can put attachments into the RTfield but you can create an upload/download control to put the files on the document.

You might also be able to setup the NSF as a mail in db. The user can forward the email into the database, it would then be able to be opened and modified.
