Does long running Java impacts performance of other similar Java code?

Hi, I have a Search Xpage which will be used by many different users/databases. Application is a collection of 11 NSFs per project (~ 450 projects) and Search Xpage is supposed to search all 11 NSFs. Now some projects are huge (10 GB+) so i wanted to check if a search running on a huge project will impact search on a small project? these are different databases and users. But same Xpage!!
