please take a look at Bildr, a project on OpenNTF for sharing images: 

 

 

for the slider on the start page we use Galleria. for views we use dojo lightbox.

Well, both the bildr and lightbox options are good, but then you actually have to write an agent to build your JSON input for the ItemDataStore for these two.

 

Secondly, the bildr application uses Extionsion Library for the same and thus is not feasible in my organisation as the deployment of anything except the standard installation files is not allowed.

 

If anyone has developed a bildr like functionality using Domino views and without any data stores please let me know.
