Embedded Experience in Send Mail simple action

In Notes 9 there's a new simple action - 'Send Mail'. Under it there's this Embedded Experience tab. How do I use it?

The 'Basics' and 'Deliver Options' is to send the mail and I've successfully used them. Can I use the Embedded Experience part to embed an XPage like we previously always include forms and views in classic Notes development? If yes how do I achieve that? I'm thinking of including a button and a viewpanel in my mail in which the viewpanel is for user to select documents and the button will approve the documents when clicked.

For now after I fill in the 'Basics' and 'Deliver Options' part, I tried the 'Embedded Experience' part with the following (but seems to have no effect):

Format: JSON

HTML URL: some other xpage that I created

Gadget URL: http://www.google.com/ig/modules/wikipedia.xml (not sure if this is correct. I search for 'opensocial gadget URL' and this is the example that I found)

For info, I'm using Notes and Designer 9 (and I'm doing all this locally), but my mail server is 8.5.3. Will that be a problem for the server to handle EE (embedded experience) mail?

Is your application on a Domino 9 server?
Is your application on a Domino 9 server?
If so the send mail should work. But if it is 853 then no, it will not.

Embedded Experience in Send Mail simple action

I see..I'll inform my admin on that. Do the mail server also have to be version 9 too? We have an application server and a separate mail server.

Also, how easy is it to achieve what I wanted? (...including a button and a viewpanel in my mail in which the viewpanel is for user to select documents and the button will approve the documents when clicked..). Is it just creating a separate xpage with the thing I wanted and select this xpage in the HTML URL part? I've read a bit and the Gadget URL part I assume can be ignored if I don't plan to use them. But what about the Format part? I'm selecting JSON but where do I put this JSON code then? (I'm still learning about JSON though)
