Custom error message for File Upload "Accept"

Hi All
 
Does anyone know how to customise the error message for File Upload controls when the "Accept" property is set (eg in my case pdf)?
 
Currently the error output if I attempt an upload of a .doc is "Unaccepted Content Type: application/msword" which is not helpful to a standard user. I want to apply something stating that the upload needs to be an Adobe PDF document.
Any help is appreciated.
