Selection of new item in repeat control causes form validation

Hello all.

I have designed an xPage using an example from a recent NotesIn9 session called 'XPages SplitScreen - View and Document'.

I have the page working to the point where it shows the view content in a Repeat Control and clicking on a document will display it in another panel.  However, I have a problem when I change to another document.  When doing so, the field validators are jumping in.  I have the form set to run the form validate on document save.

Any toughts on how to get this to only validate when clicking the save button?

Thanks

Re: Selection of new item in repeat control causes form validation
Hello Jeremy,

sounds to me like you have to check the box in the event-controller so that no validation kicks in. It's called "Process Data without validation"
Once it is checked, there will be no validation on this event. Should solve the problem.

Could you please post a link to this control? Sounds interesting.

Thanks in advance.

Thanks for your response.  Looks like I wont be able to see if that fixes it now though.  When I enable that feature, I receive the following error when I launch the page:

The generated page version 8.5.2 is not compatible with the server version 8.5.1, for the page

Not sure when the serve is set for upgrade, but I will have to find an alternate solution until then.
