Sorting view data source with a search applied

I have a repeat control that is attached to a DominoView data source

I have tried to set up the sortColumn and sortOrder properties (my Notes view has all the columns set up correctly and I am using the  column title rather than the programmatic name) - I apply a search to this view data source to return a subset of documents which I then display through a repeat control

Do the sortColumn and sortOrder properties not work when a search is applied?

I want to get to the point where I can use Thomas's approach -

- and allow the users to view the search results in the repeat control and then amend the sorting of the results

Any ideas?

Thanks

Mike

You're right, with 8.5.2 it's not possible to sort search results. I think I saw a tweet that it may be coming with 8.5.3, but that was a couple of months ago.

Thanks Paul - unfortunately for me I think you are going to be correct

I've raised a PMR with IBM to see if there is anything that can be done now. I'll update this forum if they come back with anything
