Thanks for your answers, great with some feedback.

I did try just upgrading an 8.5 Sametime to 9.0 when it came out, and then lost the ability to manage Sametime through a browser, I won't go there again.
For all other installations I sticked with 8.5 Sametime, but the few customers still left on Notes and Domino want to move to the supported version 9 if possible.
Not being able to run just the community server in a supported configuration pushes the few remaining SMB customers away from IBM.
