Open a PMR firstly.

What version of Sametime do you have installed? Sametime 9.0.0.1 used the webplayer plugin for web browsers which was very flaky. Sametime 9.0.1 requires you to install a 30MB installer for the webplayer plugin and that works for all browsers. This appears to be more stable process. You may still have issues with local admin rights but that's a pain for most installers on windows.

Most web browsers are pulling support for these kind of plugins which means you're only going to get a worse level of service if you are on Sametime 9.0.0.1.
