update: according to support (I'd opened a pmr), apns cannot be completely disabled. I solved the issue by opening ports 2195 & 2196 to internet on the firewall.

Does anyone knows how to permanently disable APNS on the STProxy server and avoid a huge number of errors in SystemOut?
