Yes this works fine. If you want to tunnel Sametime over 80 then you will need two IP address on the server because the Mux will listen on 80 and Sametime Proxy will also listen on that port. If you do not want to do that then do not enable tunelling when you get to that point during the install.

TBH the instructions in the knowledge center are more than adequate. If you have specific problems then please tell us what they are and we will try to help.

Where are you installing the SSC and DB2?
