I know that you and other people offer help as and when they can - always appreciated. In my own time I have been one of the "top-ten" responders in these forums, but I'm old and grey now :-)
You seem to have a lot of knowledge about ST 9 (more than I've been able to find through official IBM channels) so please pardon me for my nagging questions.
I'm trying to add gateway to a working ST9 environment. Basic topology is Websphere/SSC on one machine. LDAP on Domino 9 on another machine. Sametime Community on third machine. DB2 on #4. All this works fine - messaging and presence OK.
I tried to uninstall via the batch file root_path\Websphere\STGateway\_uninst\uninstaller. It goes through the prelim steps, then stalls saying other services are running. I have looked through all running processes/services, but there's nothing remotely like WAS/ST/DB2. Even when not connected to the internet!
You can help with one piece of advice now. To follow your suggestion to make this a stand-alone GW, does this mean I need a full installation on the gateway, with its own DB2/WAS/LDAP backbone. Otherwise, I am afraid I'll end up back where I am now. And if that is the case, how do I open this gateway up to the other structure.
