using the -range option

and loading dbmt at server startup causes dbmt to run during the time period specified. It will sleep once the stop time is reached (the compacts will that is, the updalls will complete). With the -timeLimit or -stoptime options it will only run once, but the range option causes it to remain resident and do it's think in the window specified.

-compactThreads 8 -updallThreads 8 -range 2:00AM 7:00AM -compactNdays 5 -force 1

The range option did not work the the compact was running even after 7:00 a.m
