Domino 9.0.1 InterimFixes becomes HotFixes?

Hi all,

I just installed the latest version to get some things patched ofcourse but then I noticed this:

Downloaded this Feature Pack: domino901FP8_w64.exe

Then I installed this Interim Fix: 901FP8HF475_W64.exe

Interim Fix 4

for Domino 9.0.1 Feature Pack 8

W64

DominoServer_901FP8IF4_W64

901FP8HF475_W64.exe

Now instead of Server version Release 9.0.1FP8 IF4 is see this: IBM Domino (r) Server (64 Bit) (Release 9.0.1FP8 HF475 for Windows/64) 24-07-2017 16:32:24

Is this normal? I remember back at 8.5.3 FP6 there were a bunch of IF and that is exactly listed in the NAB aswell like that.

Interim Fixes

All Domino Interim Fixes are listed on the internet as "Interim Fix ##". but when installed will display as "Hot FIX ###".  Interim Fixes are actually Hot fixes which have been determined to be beneficial to all customers and placed upon the internet for all to use.  They are then later incorporated into the next Domino Fix Pack.

I have wondered that myself

So far, the file name makes it looks like a Hot Fix rather than an Interim Fix. Perhaps this reflects IBM's committment to get fixes out the door as quickly as possible.

Thanks, consider this solved.

Thanks Bradley and Jay, that makes it clear. Back at 8.5.3 FP6 there were IF's that would be described as IF that is why I was wondering.

Thanks again

Yes, that is one of the changes that were made

Fix Central may label it an Interim Fix but when installed it is listed as a Hot Fix.
