Inbox folder shows more unread e-mail than it contains

  • Category: Notes Client
  • Platform: Windows
  • Release: 9.0
  • Role: End User

When viewing my inbox, my Notes 9 client is showing the number of unread messages in the folders (on the left-hand side) as two more unread messages than what is listed in the inbox itself.

I'm not finding any way to reset the unread message count nor why Notes is thinking there are still unread messages.  Can anyone else help me find what I need to do?

Thanks

Did you check the unreads in the All Documents view ?
The missing 2 might be there.

REPL_SYNC_ALL_UNREAD=1

It may be an issue with the server version rather than the Notes client.

There have been issues with unread marks counts when replicating on Domino 8.5 servers

Adding the following notes.ini setting on the server: REPL_SYNC_ALL_UNREAD=1, while having the server on at least Domino 8.5.3 FP1 should resolve most unread marks issues,
