For mail there's a proposed standard RFC 6531 https://tools.ietf.org/html/rfc6531

I could not find any statements from IBM on this issue.

Hello Ninke!

At the present time, we do not have any plans to support non-ASCII local parts and domains.

SPR # TMIZ5XUJGN / APAR LO01930 was created to request that Support for Extended Domains in Notes/Domino should be added as a feature.

The SPR is closed as an Enhancement Request by Dev. Team. They have not released any date yet, when they will consider adding this feature.

I hope it helps!

Best Regards!
