After a failed uninstall of N9 i tried several times to remove my installation with nice.

Contrary to the documentation nice does not remove the shortcut item "IBM Notes" in "IBM Applications".
The desktop icon has been removed.

Why?

could you please provide the shortcut location
Hi Peter,

Could you please provide the shortcut location for Notes shortcut you didn't remove?

(1) Open start menu, click All Programs->IBM Applications->right Click IBM Notes->Properties.
(2) Click "General" tab.
(3) Find "Location"

German locale related directory
NICE is mainly for English locale, so it only deleted shortcuts under folder C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\IBM Applications. It is hard coded. The shortcut you pasted is under IBM Anwendungen, a German locale related directory. NICE didn't know this folder is IBM Application folder, so it could not handle and the shortcut is remained.

NICE is mainly for a registry cleaner. Registry keys are hard to remove but shortcuts can be removed easily by end user.

The workaround is, remove shortcut manually.
