Traveler, users with iPhone unable to send mail

Hi,

I recently updated a Domino + Traveler server (from 8.5.3 to 9.0.1) but I'm having some problems with iPhone/iPad users.

Incoming mail works fine and the devices sync without a problem, but send mail always fails. The mail sits on the send folder but the recipient never receives it. Sometimes they get an error notification after a few minutes, sometimes the notification never appears, but not a single mail is actually send. Android and Windows Phone devices work without an issue.

Traveler version: 9.0.1.0 Build 201312102121

Any ideas?

Thanks,

Enrique

Beware the combined inbox.

Something else to consider is that iOS now has a combined inbox that shows all of the e-mail messages from all of the accounts on the device in a unified display.  The one downside here is that when you go to compose a message and you are in that combined view, it defaults to whatever the default mail account is to send the new message.  This may not be the user's traveler based account.  Also, if the user has wi-fi active, have them shut off their wi-fi connection and see if it works using just the mobile connection.  It may be that the wi-fi they are on is blocking access to the traveler server.  Of course these are basic troubleshooting issues and I am sure you have already done them, but I just know that the unified inbox has snagged me a couple times.

Ctrl + Shift + F9
I had the similar problem on devices running Android. Incoming emails were OK, but outgoing emails not sent and synchronization lasted long. Helped open the user mailbox and use refresh view index Ctrl + Shift + F9.
