Hi,

when I use in my client Hyperlink button in new mail, if I type into "box link" an URL address it works well (if I link it, it opens a website by browser I use),

if I type into "box link" a path of a directory in my network, it works well (if I link it, it opens the correct directory).

But ... if I type the same links into other client, it always open them by browser (so the link about directory doesn't work).

Someone could help me ?

Thanks

Paolo

Network links

To create a text link that refers to a directory (or an object)
Highlight some text
Click: Create -> Hotspot -> Link Hotspot
In the Hotspot Poperties Dialog:
Type:  URL
Value: file://servername/folder

You can also refer to a specific file by including its filename: file://servername/folder/filename.ext

What do you mean other client?

Thanks, Carl!

I maybe didn't read that close enough, I read it as 'his client' vs. 'other user's client', not a different type of client.

It would have been a good question for me to ask!

:-)

Carl, I apologize if I didn't explain very well.

My guess
something to do with configuration of IE on the machine, or the underlying OS
