I had a Domino server running 9.0 and traveler 8.5.3.1 which was working fine. I upgraded to 9.0.1 (latest fix packs) and the 8,5.3.1 traveler was working in that configuration as well. I then upgraded to Traveler 9.0.1 (latest fix packs) and when Traveler loads it hangs the Domino server and throw the error "exception in thread "main-17ec" java.lang.NullPointerException" Tried re-install but with same results. Took Traveler out of the Task list and had to reboot the Domino Server. Server started fine. Executed Load Traveler from the command line with the same result. Just shutting down Domino and restart does no good, have to do a full reboot to get things back.

So I need to have traveler working so I installed traveler 8.5.3.1 back onto the server now when Traveler loads it fails as well.

Any ideas because I'm out of them.

as a general rule on major upgrades I tend to blow away the previous version and do a clean install, but I don't really have time to do that right now.
