Console Password

I just installed a 2nd Domino server to eventually function as a Sametime Community server.  Apparently when registering the server I mistakenly set it to require a password when launching the console.  So... when selecting to open the console from the server (not administrator program), I am presented with the screen to enter the password.  I didn't forget the password I just want to get rid of it so it isn't necessary.  Is it possible to get rid of the password prompt when launching the console?

Remove Console Password

You will have to shut down Domino and remove the Server_Console_Password notes.ini parameter

Remove Pssowrd Form Server ID file

If the issue is that the server ID file has a password, than you must remove the password from the ID file:

If the Password Quality for the server.id in question was set any higher than 0, then the "No Password" button will not appear. If this is found to be the case, you will have to recertify the server.id, specifying a Password Quality of 0. After doing so the "No Password" button will appear and the above instructions can be followed as directed.

Remove Pssowrd Form Server ID file

Thanks for the replies.  I checked for the Server_Console_Password item in the notes.ini and found it isn't listed there.

I do have a minimum password length.  Since this is not a user account, I guess I don't follow where the password can be removed...  do you mean using the domino administrator UI??

I believe the issue is with the ID file having the password on it (should have been paying more attention when creating it) and that's requiring me to enter a password to access the console.  I'm guessing by re-certifying the server.id file, this should be as straight forward as certifying the server the first time around.  Yes?
