URI to launch SalesLogix from notes

The Notes client recognizes URI's such as http:// and Windows will recognize notes://.

Can Notes call other Windows apps such as SalesLogix? This link works in iNotes since the browser understands the Windows association: slx://abc/etc.

However, the Notes client launches the default browser instead. Is there a way to configure Notes to recognize Windows associations?
