Attachments of incoming mails in Notes Temp

Hi all,

Could someone explains me why the Notes client is saving swiftly the attachments of incoming emails in its temp folder ? Even if I did not read it.

Sometimes I receive an infected file, I don't even open the mail, nor preview, and the local AV is ringing about the file in the temp folder.

Sometimes the infected email is not even in my Inbox, I had it filed in another folder, and I get an alert at Notes startup, the client is saving an infected file in the temps.

I know my computer did not get infected, still that gets on my nerves and on my sysadmins too !?
