Good Afternoon,

I have a user running a Windows 8 machine, using iNotes 9 on a Domino 9 server. When he tried to send a 1.5 mb attachment with just the word test in the body of the email, over a DSL line, he is getting the error message:

Any suggestions on what to look at/change on the Domino server?

He did click ok, and the email actually did come through to me, with the attachment. A 1.5 mb attachment isn't that big nowadays and I don't think we should be getting those error messages with a DSL line.

Thank you,

SPR# CTSI86EPZ9

Hi,

check this :

Description:

SPR# CTSI86EPZ9 - Fix resolves a server error  "The Server Did Not Respond Quickly Enough. The Server May Be Down Of Having Problems"caused in a low bandwidth environment running iNotes Lite mode. INI variable  iNotes_WA_FormSubmitTimeout can be set to increase the time interval, before server responds with a message. Default value is 30 seconds, and that can be increased based on the bandwidth,

Default value:
30

Syntax:
iNotes_WA_FormSubmitTimeout=seconds

Example:
iNotes_WA_FormSubmitTimeout=80

UI equivalent:
There is no kown UI setting for this notes.ini variable. But you can specify this setting in the notes.ini settings tab of the configuration settings document.

Applies to:
Server

addtl timeout info
Variable name: iNotes_WA_FormSubmitTimeout
Value to specify: timeout for form submission in seconds.
Default value: 30

Note:

This ini setting is effective only in Sparkle framework.
For Classic, iNotes_WA_SubmitTimeout is used - default is 0 (means infinity) and no timeout check.

In 8.5.3, each setting is effective in edit forms below.

iNotes_WA_FormSubmitTimeout: mail edit form (Full/Lite)

iNotes_WA_SubmitTimeout: phone message edit form, appointment edit form and ToDo edit form
