Third Party SSL Certificate Expiring

A third-partySSL certificate will be expiring shortly on a Domino 9.0.1 FP7 server. The original keyring was created using OpenSSL and kyrtool. Do we have to create a whole new keyring, etc., or can the renewed certificate be merged into the existing keyring? The old way of merging using the Server Certificate admin doesn't seem to work anymore.
