Hi,

I am using Notes 8.0.2 for application development. Now that there are a lot of changes being done in Notes recently I wanted to upgrade to the latest version IBM Notes 9.0.

How do I suggest my client to have their Notes upgraded. Is there anything new that can be done in the latest version that could not be done in the earlier versions in terms of application development?

I have primarily worked on Notes 6.5 and then switched to 8.0.2  a few months ago and I hardly find any changes other than the UI. What are the things I need to upgrade on technology wise, like learning XPages, AJAX, jquery etc. before starting to work in latest verion of Notes?

Please advice!

Thanks,

Suji M

Just upgrade

The trend is clearly to go with web technologies. Especially for developers there is no need to stick with a (stone-old) version 8.0.2

Update your client and start updating your developer knowledge!
Next: develop fresh and fast web applications, think about mobile users and don't forget the social aspect in your business applications.
