Calendar doesn't focus on 'Today'

My calendar is set to display 'One Month'. Preview pane is open, 2 weeks (and the very top of the third week) shows.
 

When I open my calendar, 'today' (April 24) is highlighted, but it's hidden below the preview pane. I have to scroll down to see 'Today'.
