Just installed Notes 9 GA. I noticed that by default not all the keyboard shourtcuts work.

Ctrl + R does not, while Ctrl + 1 ( or 2 or 3 ) does. In order to enable Ctrl + R need to go in Preferences -> Basic Notes client configuration then scroll to the bottom of the list of options and check "Enable alternate keyboard shortcuts".

What I find not very good is that in the Notes Help, there's no mention of this. In the what's new section there is a reference to the new keyboard shortcuts, but no explanation that is turned off by default and how to enable it.

RE: Ctrl+R not enabled by default

Hi,

The new CTRL+R feature can be forced on by the following notes.ini setting.

  • $ENABLE_ADDITIONAL_KEYSTROKES=1

Please IBM, why should it be so hard to document things...? Each and every time...
