Folloup Mini View not visible after upgrade to mail 9 template

After upgrading the mail db design to 9.0.1 from 8.X  the followup mni view which used to appear in the bottom left corner is no more visible.

It now only appears as a folder option in the folder choices.

Is there any new design template available or has this option been removed going forward.

I tried deleting workspace folder but that did not help.

If I open a 8.X design database , I can still see the followup mni view with my R9.0.1 Client on my windows8 p.c

Any suggestions

Still There

Make sure that it's not just closed - place your cursor on the bottom line under the folders - click and drag 'up' to open FollowUp. (or, if there's a little triangle there, click it)

Make sure that you're using the latest 9.0.1 mail file design - Mail File --> Properties -> make sure that your mail file is based on the 9.0.1 design template (dated 9/24/2013)

Close your mail file, and refresh (replace) your mail file template - just to ensure that the latest design elements are in place.

follo up frame in the notes 9.0.1 mail design template

Thanks for the prompt response. My mail db is 9.0.1 and is date 9/24/2013

 

I see inbox then sent then draft and then Follow UP . When I click on that I see all documents marked for followup

and then at the bottom their is a folder option with an arrow when I click on that I see all my folders but not this one.

 

 

The problem that I am looking at is at the bottom of everything their a blank frame after the other mail option. Here we used to see the follow up documents with a remove flag option etc

That frame is still missing. I looked very carefully for any option to expand or a triangle but can't see it.

Replace mail design?

I suspect something is corrupt - did you recently upgrade your client? Did you install 9.0.1 over the top of 8.5.3? Or Uninstall 8.5.3 first?

You might try closing your client, then rename cache.ndk and desktop8.ndk. Open your client and see if Followup is back.

If not, close your mail file - at the server console type:   load convert -u mail\taylor.nsf * mail9.ntf

- where 'taylor.nsf' is the name of your mail file, and 'mail9.ntf' is the name of your mail template. This will refresh your mailfile design & all your folders.

If that doesn't help - at the console type:

load fixup mail\taylor.nsf -j -f

load compact mail\taylor.nsf -c -i

load updall mail\taylor.nsf -r -x

again, where 'taylor.nsf' is the name of your mailfile.

You said you already deleted the workspace folder?

I will test using a new mail db also

I did a install of 9.0.1 on top of an existing 8.5.3

I have another p.c . on that I will try installing the client rather than the upgrade.

I will also try the options you suggested.

I will try these combinations and report back

At bottom of mail navigator, there should be a small up arrow, if exist, click it.

Unfortunately, IBM has not updated properly the mail template release 24/09/2013 9:01 for the German language.

Copy the NotesMailApps.xml from mail9.ntf Englisch into your Mail Template. (Delete the old and paste the new one)

Sorry but I have a German client.

Double click on the XML:

So you will find the Notes Mail Mini view there.

Close and save it.

It worked for me in the German Mail 9 Template on 8.5.3FP6 Notes designer.
