server console not working after installation FP5

after installing FP5 I can no longer run the domino console on my local dev environment (Message: Either the Server Controller is not running on host dev1 or is not listening on port 2050.) I read somewhere that I should enter in the servers notes ini:

ServerController=1

TCPIP_ControllerTcpIpAddress=127.0.0.1:2050

But this fails also. Anyone who can guide me enabling the server console again?

Re: server console not working after installation FP5
Hello Patrick!

It is possible that the issue is not related with FP5 installation.
Instead, perhaps it is related with JVM update.

I suggest you to follow the workaround provided on TN below related to FP4:

> Domino Console fails to connect to remote server after upgrading Notes or Domino to 9.0.1 Fix Pack 3 or Fix Pack 4
http://www-01.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg21695943

I hope it helps!

If the issue persists, let me know!

Best Regards!

Re server console not working after installation FP5

Hello Patrick,

The Java console requires MD5 to be able to connect to the server, however the latest update removed support for MD5.

Please review the following technote http://www-01.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg21977125

And form posts related to this issue.
