Sent Icon in Inbox

We have a user who is using Lotus Notes 9, with a Template Standard 8.
He has a forwarding from his old address to his new one. Someone sends him a mail on his old address, it gets forwarded to his new one. When he replies back, it is from his new address but the old one appears in Cc.
A mail comes to his inbox. Which I guess is quite normal as his old address was in Cc. But the icon that shows up in Inbox is the 'Sent envelop icon'! When he deletes it from Inbox, the Sent item also gets deleted! How come is it related?

Possible known issue
Hello Nad,

This seems to match the following known software bug:

The only difference being in your user's case, the message is not missing from the Sent view. However, same issue where the new document is left with the same DocID as the document in the Sent view. Please try the notes.ini parameter referenced in the fixlist document above if running Domino 9.0 or higher.

problem not reproduced
We have used IBM 9.0 domino server, IBM 9.0 client and 8.0 mail template. We have added forwarding new email address  in domino directory and executed the same steps. We found old address was in Cc. After receiving new email we did not see 'Sent envelop icon' in Inbox, it was normal new emails icon. We have deleted emails from Inbox and it was only deleted from Inbox not from Sent item.

Please let us know do you mean 8.0 template or older version.

Issue Resolved

Dear Melissa Chavez,

Issue has been resolved by setting 'MailEnableKeepSentLookup=1' the Parameter in the Notes.ini.
