Problem with internet mail address

I have 2 users with the same lastname. The policy for the internet mailaddress in the company is lastname@domain.com.

User 1 has mailadres lastname@domain.com

User 2 had mailadres FLlastname@domain.com (First letter and lastname)

So far so good. Now my problem, User 1 has left the company so I removed his account from the Domino Directory. Now User 2 receives all the mails send to lastname@domain.com. Very annoying.

I changed the configuration Document Router/SMTP -> Restrictions and Controls... -> SMTP Inbound Controls -> Inbound Intended Recipients Controls - Deny messages intended for the following internet addresses.

I added to this field mailaddress lastname@domain.com .

When I do that User 2 doesn't receive any mails anymore and the Sender get's a message that the mail is rejected for Policy reasons.

Does anyone know how to configure this?

Person Document
You can compare their person document and check if they have the same internet address.

User 1 A                 lastname@domain.com

User 2 B                lastname@domain.com

User 3                         FLlastname@domain.com

If they have the same , you can change the internet address of User 2 B into FLlastname@domain.com

Not the solution

Thanks for your reply.

The intenetaddress of User2 is configured as FLlastname@domain.com

Where I look in the $Users view and look for lastname, which i found. The person document that is highlighted is the person document 'User 2'.

I understand that the router finds this record. Can I configure teh router to look only to the internetaddress?

Check the configuraton document

I would recommend checking the settings in the configuraiton doument under the ROUTER / SMTP  - > Basics tab.

I'm guessing "Address Lookup" is set to the default value of: "Full name and then local part"

Change it to: "Full name only"

Save the change and issue the server console command: TELL ROUTER UPDATE CONFIG
