Lotus Notes Client NOTES_9.0.1_WIN_EN

Lotus Notes Client NOTES_9.0.1_WIN_EN on Windows 7 64 Bit is not giving the option to use a SINGLE or MULTIUSER installation.

Lotus Notes Client NOTES_9.0.0_WIN_EN is working 100%

Lotus Notes Client NOTES_9.0.1_WIN_EN on windows xp / W7 32Bit / Windows server are all working ok.

If have attempted the install on a CLEAN Vanilla Windows 7 64 bit installation.

Does anyone know the MSI Option I can change to modify and correct this behaviour.

Regards

Mark

Cannot reproduce, why do you want a single user installation?
On a clean 64-Bit Win 7 system:

Multi user is the default for Win 7.
If you want to change the Data directories, you may use MULTIUSERCOMMONDIR/MULTIUSERBASEDIR
If you want to enforce Multi user installation, use SETMULTIUSER=1
If you really want a single user installation of notes only, you may use the Allclient kit, but I can't see any benefit (but a lot of disadvantages)

Have deployed 9.0 for customer but really would like this working.

HI Guys,

Thanks for taking the time to reply to my initial post.  Now I finally have some time to revisit this I am going to get it sorted.

So I have some more info.

If you run setup.exe from Lotus Notes Client NOTES_9.0.1_WIN_EN release then you get the usual response from the IBM Installer.  You are as usual presented with the option to select multiuser or single user mode installations.

If however you run the IBM Notes 9.0.1 Social Edition.msi .(An MSI is what I have used since ver R6.5 for deployment in the enterprise) then you are NOT presented with any option to choose multiuser or single user mode installations.  There must be a new logic used by the setup.exe  (Install Shield) that has not been as previously hard coded into the msi.

I had to take myself away from this one to see the wood for the trees,,,,!!!

I would usually create an answer file (MST) and then deploy the software.

I do like Christians suggestion of forcing the MSI to install in multiuser mode.  Now this is fine as we plan to use the default multiuser data path location.  Thumbs up for SETMULTIUSER=1

I am going to start testing in the Lab again, however if anyone has any further knowledge to impass or point me at the full and complete IBM documention....

Come on IBM this is not to your usual standard release........
