calling form from another .nsf file

Our notes system uses a lot of standard forms in various .nsf files.  We have a master .nsf file that has all of the forms that are used in the various .nsfs.  I have been hand copying from the master file to the other files; however,  if I need to make a change then, to keep the other .nsfs up to date, I have to copy the new version to all of the others.

I am thinking if I could just use the form from the master application for the records in the other applications that would eliminate all of this.  I looked thru the help and went on the web and so far have not found any way to do this.  Am I again trying to do something that makes a lot of sense; however, sadly is impossible?

Thank you, guys!

Templates

Create one or more Templates to hold the 'master' copy of the forms - then copy / paste the forms from the template into the individual databases.

When you update your design elements in the template, the Designer task will update the other databases. I think by default Design task runs at 10PM, but you can run it manually, or update the design of any database at any time manually.

This is basic design of Domino/notes - system databases and mail files all typically inherit their design from a template. When you update Domino versions, many of the Domino databases are updated via design changes to the Templates.

Using Templates

Thanks for the Template idea Mark.  I think I can convert my master file to a template so I won't have to rebuild the whole thing.
