Directory Assistance database has one or more invalid replicas for domain

I get the following message in my console:

[08E0:0004-08EC] 2015-06-25 10:55:02   Directory Assistance database has one or more invalid replicas for domain XXX (Notes).

How should I detect the problem?

Can anyone describe the easiest way how to start investigating the cause?

Try this
Open the DA database (if you aren't sure what it's named, check the "Directory assistance database name" field on the Basics tab of the server document) and verify that all database links open an address book. If there is an asterisk listed, make sure that a replica is on the server throwing the error.

If you just want info on how to proactively detect such errors in the future, DDM is your best friend.

Try removing the application links and just type the replica location details

You can use Application links as a method to point to the replicas but I've found DA works best if you remove the Application links altogether and simply type in each server name and database name for the various replicas you want to point to.
