Inline URL linked images not appearing

I find that often images are not showing up in emails received from the Internet.

At first, I thought maybe it was just bad links in the emails, but today I looked at the body of an email from UPS where the inline images were not showing up and found the URLs are valid, but are to HTTPS addresses.

Could that be the issue?

If so - how can I fix?

Person doc

Check you person doc and see if it is keep  in senders format

How do the links appear if you forward the mail to an external account such as GMail?

In your Notes account, are there red X's or "broken tokens" where the images should be?  How does it look in iNotes or on a phone?

  • My person document is set to "keep in sender's format"
  • This only seems to happen when the linked image is linked via an HTTPS address
  • works fine on my phone via Traveler
  • works fine in iNotes
  • looks like the broken image links are stripped if it is forwarded - at least from what I can see when viewing the source of the forwarded email in Outlook
  • I can't seem to get an image to post in here so I will have to describe... each image shows as a grey square outlined in red with a small red X in the top left with part of the word UPS showing

OK - finally gave up and opened a PMR.

The problem was that "Disable embedded browser for MIME mail" was enabled

I would have thought of that if ALL the HTML emails weren't working...
