Traveler Crash on Android 4.0.4

Hello,

Since a few days, the traveler application crashed on my xperia pro with android 4.0.4.

Server is running 9.0.1IF2 on linux/64 and the traveler application on the phone is the latest from the server.

When I look into the NTS_Errors.log on the server, each time it's the same message :

java.io.EOFException: Unexpected end of ZLIB input stream

If I don't sync emails, no crashes. I tried to replace my mailbox with a brand new and empty mailbox and it's still crashing a soon as I try to syn emails.

It's working smoothly with android tablets with 4.0.4 too.

Can someone help me with this ? It used to work for a long time (2 years) and I saw this happen when I did the traveler IF2 upgrade, but I'm not sure it's related to that, because I tried to go back with 9.0.1 without any IF, but the problem remains....

Thanks in advance

Renaud

Similar...

Strangely I have just seen a very similar issue on an Android 4.0.3 device. It had been working fine for at least 18 months, upgraded through all versions up to and including Traveler 9.0.1IF2. I hard reset the device to assign to a different user and thats when the problems started. I have worked around this issue by installing the Traveler client from Google Play store. I think there is an issue in the current client and Android 4.0.x devices that have not been upgraded from older version. I guess it would require a PMR for IBM to get to the bottom of it...

Installing the google play version fixed it for me too...

I just installed the version from google play, and indeed it seems to work now !!

Quite strange, but at least it works !

Thanks for the tip and let's hope something will be fixed for a later version... (I'm not able to open a PMR)
