Recommend you use 9.0.1 specifically because....
Most issues can be remedied by running the uninstaller first, then running the installer. The uninstall operation leaves your data directory intact so there is no risk to doing so. In development while debugging issues, I uninstall many times a week or even a day, but my data directory remains untouched therefore all my mail, contacts, bookmarks, icons & plugins are fine.

Simon was probably going here, but a change in OS X 10.9 broke our uninstaller from 9.0 and earlier (8.5.3, 8.5.2 etc). So if you could download Notes 9.0.1 package, open it up, and run the uninstall program in that package, it will uninstall Notes regardless of version.  Once you are uninstalled, then try installing Notes 9.0.1 or Notes 8.5.3.  If you are going with 8.5.3, make sure it is the newer 8.5.3 slipstream package compatible with OS X 10.8 or above referenced in this technote.

Hi,

My OSX version is 10.9.2.

And yes, I also tried to run the Uninstaller. But it cannot be launched successfully. I try to launch it and it quit itself at next few seconds.

Or are there any uninstaller to download? I really cannot find the location to download the Note 9.0.1. could you offer me ?

Thanks a lot.

Finally not being stall, but..

Hi, I had followed Michael's suggestions. The Note 9.0.1 is finally not being stall.

But it shows: Failed to launch platform provisioning. Refer to /Users/ivanji/Library/Application Support/IBM Notes Data/Expeditor/Applications/logs/rcplauncher.log for more information.

Yes, I,,

Hi Michael,

Yes, I did run the repair disk permission before the restart and after removal.

And did you test it...
...using a new user account? Do you use an anti virus application? If yes, disable it or uninstall it.
If you use PGP or FileVault, disable it and decrypt the hard drive. If all not work check the following:
- use an external hard drive
- install mac OS X on this drive
- boot from this drive
- install no other applications
- run setup of Notes on this drive
If it works you are sure that your used Mac OS X is not correct or a 3rd party application prevents the
Notes client installation. If it not works it could be that the downloaded Notes client package is not correct.
You should download it again.

Umm..

sorry, I recently have no free time.

I didn't test the installation on a new user account. I will test it later.

I did not use PGP or FileVault or any anti-virus. It seems like really a problem.

And I got the error...

Eclipse:

A Java Runtime Environment (JRE) or Java Development Kit (JDK)

must be available in order to run Eclipse. No Java virtual machine

was found after searching the following locations:

/System/Library/Frameworks/JavaVM.framework/Versions/CurrentJDK/Commands/java

It seems...pretty clear..

And I want to know how to change the directory ? Because my java is located at /System/Library/Frameworks/JavaVM.framework/Versions/Current/Commands/java.

It seems close to solve it !!!

Thanks!!!

hi..

I just add a soft link to the location which cannot find the java.

It finally pass the stage of "Provisioning Result".

But... In the final page("Summary"), it shows a waning sign.

It said:

The installation failed.

The following installation step filed: run postinstall script for Expeditor framework.

What does that mean? The script run filed.

And I just execute the command in the last reply  and the return code is 13.

Any information ?
