Embedded experience now showing up in emails

With great help from Stanton I managed to make the Updates page working in Notes, apparently OpenSocial from Connections should just work now. However EE is not showing up in emails. All policies and settings are correct of course. ENABLE_EE is pushed. Any ideas?

What do you see?
Are you seeing the normal email, or the "Something Went Wrong" message?

Somethings to check
OK I see from your other thread they you are seeing the normal emails.  Since you are seeing the normal email it is most likely because it is not "trusted", here are some things to check.
  1. You have a widget installed in the client for the embedded experience gadget.
  2. That widget is signed by a user who has the admin role assigned to them in the ACL of the widget catalog.
  3. The user who signed the widget is in the ECL of the user trying to render the gadget and that user has the configure widget capability.

RE: Embedded experience now showing up in emails

Hi Ryan,

As I mentioned, I installed the EE and Updates widgets at the same time with the same approval from the same user. Updates works now and EE doesn't work.

Regards,
Alexey

Hi Alex,

To Ryan's first question: do you see the html e-mail or the "something went wrong" message?

Second, what type of notification from Connections are you trying to render?  Do you see a corresponding entry in the activity stream?  If so, does it render when you try to open it?

Best regards,
-Stanton

RE: Embedded experience now showing up in emails

I see a regular mail.

I am trying the elements that worked before - files, profiles and forums.

Elements are in the activity stream and render properly when I click on it AND embedded experience works in Connections Mail for these elements.

ENABLE_EE=1
Do you have ENABLE_EE=1 in your Notes ini?  I just tried removing that ini on my machine and the activity stream and EEs from the activity stream still rendered but EE in email did not.

ENABLE_EE=1
$ENABLE_EE=1

are pushed through the policy and are present in notes.ini

Chec your preferences
Can you make sure "Disable embedded browser for MIME email" is NOT checked in your preferences by going to File -> Preferences -> Basic Notes Client Configuration?

RE: Embedded experience now showing up in emails

I re-registered the gadgets with https, removed custom oauth URLs, removed old widgets from the toolbox and imported new ones. To speed up the process I disabled and enabled toolbox agents, updated widgets in OGSi and had to restart the Domino server. After that EE started to work in iNotes but I am getting a message that is shown in red where errors are normally shown. The message is

Any ideas what this could mean?
