DBMT - not JUST for Mail files, right?

The Admin Help documentation seems to make the point/imply that the new Database Maintenance Tool (DBMT) is used for performing tasks on user Mail files. I know it skips certain system DBs by default, but will it not run on other non-system databases in addition to mail DBS (ie: custom apps)?

Just wanted to get clarification on the scope/usage of the new feature.

Thanks
