Notes 9.0.1 Client install failed on Windows 10 Pro

The installation of the IBM Notes Client v9.0.1 failed repeatedly on Windows 10.

Here is the error log entry:

When I first attempted the installation the laptop was on Windows 10 Home Edition. I searched the prerequisites on the IBM support site and saw that Notes 9.0.1 Fix Pack 4 and above supports Windows 10 Pro or Enterprise, so I upgraded the laptop to Windows 10 Pro. The installation of the original 9.0.1 package fails with the identical error message and log entry.

Since the original release of 9.0.1 did not support Windows 10, how can you install 9.0.1 on a Win10 system? Fix Pack 5 is only an incremental install, that must be applied to an existing 9.0.1 installation, correct? Or is there a complete install package that supports Windows 10 Pro and includes Fix Pack 5?

Install team is investigating - not yet able to be reproduced
The install team is investigating, but they are not yet able to reproduce - their testing successfully installed 9.0.1 GA then upraded to 9.0.1 FP4.

Please not that while 9.0.1 GA is not supported on Windows 10 Pro, that doesn't necessarily mean that it won't install - it just means that the testing and addressing of any windows 10 specific bugs was not done until FP4.

Notes 9.0.1 English on Windows 10 Spanish

Same issue here. IBM Notes 9.0.1 English version(downloaded yesterday from Passport Advantage site) on Windows 10 (Spanish).

I tried workaround as stated in the following IBM support document with no luck.

Today I  opened a PMR with IBM. I'll keep you posted.
