Designer: Menu Tools / Debug Lotuscript out of sync

Hi there,

 in my version of the designer the hook in front of the 'Debug LotusScript' is not reliable as an indicator / a status. If I am debugging and a mail arrives and I switch off  the debug mode in the client, the designer still keeps the hook and this is very very disturbing and has already led to running code which was not yet intended to run outside debug mode and had to reset the entire test environment. 

Strange thing is that on one other Designer it's the same problem and on another its not.

Any ideas what could be responsible  ?  Workaround ?
